Hope Haven of the Lowcountry thankful to Wexford Plantation Charitable Foundation for grant

Published: February 15, 2013

Hope Haven of the Lowcountry wants to thank and recognize the generosity of the Wexford Plantation Charitable Foundation and the grant it awarded to our organization.

The grant will go directly to supporting the child advocacy and rape crisis initiatives of Hope Haven. During 2012, Hope Haven provided intervention for 473 direct victims and 678 indirect victims, who are family members of the victims. Seventy-five percent of the victims were children, with a median age of 7 years old.

The compassion and giving of Wexford Plantation Charitable Foundation helps Hope Haven show the victims there is hope and that our community cares. Additionally, the grant will support implementation of prevention programs. That is the real solution to preventing child abuse and sexual violence. In this time of need, Wexford Plantation Charitable Foundation demonstrated true compassion in helping others.
