Hospice Care of the Lowcountry grateful for mah-jongg tournament

Mah-jongg fever is certainly present on Hilton Head Island, particularly for the 200-plus women who attended the third annual Mah-jongg Tournament at the beautiful Country Club of Hilton Head on Jan. 22.

A delicious lunch was served. There were amazing live auction items and spectacular silent auction prizes to bid on, and of course, the fascinating game of mah-jongg. It was a day of fun, laughter and friendship.

All the efforts, hard work, the hours of planning and organizing by Char Long, Johanna Galasso and their dedicated team to put on this event was all to benefit Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.

On behalf of the agency, I am sincerely grateful for the extremely generous donation from this very charitable group. We are the only independent, nonprofit, Medicare-certified hospice in this area and are in our 31st year of providing compassionate end of life care and services to family, friends and neighbors of this community. Thank you mah-jongg ladies; you are incredible.
