Beaufort County Sheriff's Office seeking help to identify 2 people suspected of credit card theft

February 13, 2013

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two people suspected of using a stolen credit card on Hilton Head Island last week.

On Feb. 4, a black 2006 Hummer H3 was broken into while parked at Cheap Seats, 55 Mathews Drive. A credit card, among other items, was reported stolen.

The victim of the theft said the credit card was used at Kangaroo Express, 71 Mathews Drive, and CVS, 85 Mathews Drive.

Video surveillance footage from those locations show a white man and woman who appear to be together using the card shortly after the time it was stolen.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the identity of the man and woman to call Cpl. B. Cooler at 843-255-3423 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC (274-6372).
