Beaufort County Council is holding a workshop this afternoon on current and future economic development initiatives.
The meeting, which will be held at the county's Administration Building on Ribaut Road in Beaufort, begins at 2 p.m. Council is expected to discuss the countys involvement in the Lowcountry Economic Alliance, among other things.
Councilman Brian Flewelling says he also expects more information about the countys potential economic partnership with a development authority in Sumter County.
The meeting is expected to last at least an hour and a half.
No action is expected during the workshop, although it could lead to new proposals later this year.
