One of only two First Congressional District candidates with ties to Beaufort County will take the stage today at a congressional candidate forum.

Former state Sen. John Kuhn will make his case to voters on why he's the one for the job. He will be followed by Charleston County Council member Curtis Bostic.

Each candidate will have an hour to speak and answer questions from the audience. The forum -- hosted by state Rep. Shannon Erickson, R-Beaufort -- is part of a series of forums that began in January and run through March.

Bostic will speak at 6 p.m. in in the Technical College of the Lowcountry's auditorium, 921 Ribaut Rd. in Beaufort. Kuhn will follow at 7 p.m.

Kuhn has previously cited his conservative credentials and marital loyalty as qualities that set him apart in the crowded race.
