Gregory Picklesimer of Newton, Mass., was the winner of the 11th annual Hilton Head Island Half Marathon on Saturday.
The 46-year-old Picklesimer clocked a winning time of 1 hour, 13 minutes and 6 seconds in the race, which carried runners over the Cross Island Bridge. He finished 1 minute, 25 seconds ahead of his nearest challenger, Atlanta teenager Reilly Friedman.
Crissy Ivey, of Pendergrass, Ga., was the womens winner, finishing 19th overall in a time of 1:27:13.
Hilton Head Island High School standout Jack Manesiotis was the winner of Saturdays 10-kilometer race, finishing in 34:10 nearly three minutes faster than his nearest competitor.
Bluffton High Schools Nahuel Coronel won the 5K race, clocking in at 17:51.
