According to what you read and hear, you would think that President Barack Obama wants to dissuade Iran from building a nuclear bomb by imposing tough sanctions. You could also believe that because he still hasn't approved the Keystone Pipeline, he doesn't want fossil fuels to be used any more than they have to be.

Judge the man by what he does, not by what he says.

Back in December, after the election, the Obama administration re-issued waivers that allow nine countries to continue buying Iran's oil exports. Among them were China, India, Turkey and South Africa.

Did China get a pass because Obama needs to borrow more money from them to support his reckless spending? Most of these countries have growing economies, yet we still have millions unemployed. Entitlement programs are making us broke.

He can talk tough, but just as with Obamacare, if he needs you, you can get an exemption. This has become an administration of "do as I say, not as I do."

Now is not the time for us to relax. If not for yourself, then for your children and grandchildren, pay full attention to the 1st District congressional race.
