FOUR BEAUFORT HIGH WRESTLERS HEADED TO ALL-STAR EVENT
Beaufort High School will send a record four wrestlers to the North-South S.C. Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star Classic, held in Myrtle Beach in March.
Tyler Wilson, Clint Wright, Codrian Smalls and Trey Arant will all wrestle for the South team in the select event. Smalls, Wright and Wilson each won Region 8-AAAA titles. Arant finished second. All qualified for the Class 4-A individual Lower State meet, held at Lugoff-Elgin on Feb. 15-16. The individual state meet will be held Feb. 22-23 in Anderson.
Beaufort High recently reached the third round of the Class 4-A state duals tournament, losing at Lexington in a close dual.
BEAUFORT HIGH BOOSTERS HOSTING OYSTER ROAST
Beaufort High School's Big Green Booster Club is hosting its fourth annual Oyster Roast fundraising event from 5-10 p.m. Saturday at Port Royal Park behind Port Royal Elementary School.
The event costs $25 for singles or $40 for couples. All proceeds will benefit the athletic teams at Beaufort High School.
Entertainment will be provided by Mark Bonds and Market 246 Band.
