John Henry Swinton, 64, of Ridgeland and husband of Ruby Atkins Swinton, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at his residence. Viewing and wake services will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Zion Oak Grove Baptist Church of Ridgeland. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Center, with burial in Beaufort National Cemetery, with military honors.
