Residents will get a chance to meet the finalists for Beaufort County School District superintendent at a set of forums next week.
The finalists have not been announced, but are expected to be named this week.
Forums are scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 12, 13 and 14 at district offices, 2900 Mink Point Blvd. in Beaufort.
At each forum, the night's featured finalist will make an opening statement and take questions from the audience. The forums will be televised live on the Beaufort County Channel, and questions will alternate between live audience members and television viewers who submit questions through email.
Residents will then be able to evaluate the finalists using comment forms that will be posted on the school district's website beginning Tuesday. The live television broadcasts can be viewed on Hargray (Channel 113 for digital TVs and Channel 9 for analog TVs); Time Warner Cable (Channel 63); and Comcast (Channel 2). In addition to the forums for parents and the public, each finalist will also meet with district teachers, administrators and school staff to answer their questions.
