Chino Fuentes, left, and Bryan Thompson of NBM Builders of Beaufort decide where to loop a chain Monday while working to tear down a house at 1411 Duke St. in Beaufort. The house owned by local lawyer Dean Moss is being demolished after several years of battles between Moss and historical preservationists. The city's Historic District Review Board eventually approved Moss' request Jan. 25 after it was determined the dilapidated house was not historically significant and not worth trying to restore.
