The AARP tax-aid program will help prepare tax returns for low- and moderate-income taxpayers, with special attention to those 60 and older.

The program offers electronic filing at the following locations starting in February:

Sun City Hilton Head: Mondays and Thursdays, by appointment only, Feb. 7 to April 11. Sign up at Lifestyle Services.

Daufuskie Island: Saturdays, by appointment only, Feb. 2 to April 13. Call Pat Dempsey at 843-686-6270.

Bring a photo ID, last year's tax return, W-2 forms, 1099 forms, 1098 forms, along with information about real estate and personal property deductions, medical expenses and insurance, charitable contributions, and estimated tax payments. If filing a joint return, both parties must be present to sign the return.
