Wexford Plantation, an upscale community on Hilton Head Island's south end, has replaced general manager Keith Van Yahres.
Susan Fishel has been named general manager after seven years as chief financial officer, Wexford's director of communications and marketing Jessica McIlwee confirmed Monday. Fishel's promotion was effective immediately.
Laura Von Mindon, the community's human resources director, said Van Yahres' departure was a "mutual decision" between him and the board of directors.
Van Yahres was hired as general manager in March, according to his LinkedIn account. Attempts Monday to reach him for comment were unsuccessful.
Members of the board of directors either did not return phone calls or declined to comment.
Attempts to reach Fishel for comment also were unsuccessful.
Wexford is one of the most exclusive developments on Hilton Head, with its Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, harbor and tennis amenities. Homes listed for sale in the community have asking prices ranging from $372,000 to $3.9 million.
The community has about 475 dues-paying members, which include homeowners and lot owners. Dues and other fees cost $14,655 a year, in addition to initiation fees ranging from $10,000 to $20,000, according to its website.
