The Sandalwood Community Food Pantry's board of Directors, volunteers and most importantly, the 500-plus families we serve, give thanks and praise to The Bargain Box for blessing our pantry with a most generous grant. Joy filled our hearts and overflowed knowing that The Bargain Box supports our pantry and so many other worthy and compassionate causes dedicated to our community.
Our pantry cares, comforts and nourishes the bodies, minds and spirits of those who are often invisible, unknown, neglected and forgotten. We are so very fortunate to live or vacation in a place that many call paradise, yet those less fortunate only experience a paradise lost in the midst of suffering and hunger.
We thank The Bargain Box and its more than 300 volunteers for their time and talents and the compassion and contributions they give so freely. Know that love is alive and well on Hilton Head Island.
Blessings, peace and a prayer that no one on Hilton Head Island ever has to go to bed hungry again because hunger hurts.
The Rev. Nannette Pierson, Founder and executive director Sandalwood Community Food Pantry Hilton Head Island
