Thank you to local firefighters

Thank you to the Hilton Head Firefighters' Association for its grant and support to the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which serves coaches and student athletes of Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties.

On behalf of our area director, Paul Cifaldi, our staff and the board of directors, we send our gratitude and appreciation to the nonprofit organization made up of Town of Hilton Head Island Fire & Rescue Division employees who raise money for charity. The firefighters' group does so much good, helping people of our island and extended community in ways known and quietly unknown. It is awesome to be in the company of many other grant recipients honored by the generosity of these true heroes.

The local FCA board represents an organization that strives to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Our values of integrity, serving, teamwork and excellence make us appreciate firefighters who "rush in while others rush out."

FCA serves on many area middle and high school campuses, as well as at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, at camps and throughout the community, with various ministries providing Bibles, scholarships and a network for like-minded athletes and coaches. Our sincere thanks go out to the Hilton Head Firefighters' Association and to all those who have supported it and FCA during its years of service to the greater island community.

Michael Brock, board chairman South Coastal FCA Hilton Head Island
