Air Force Airman Katie R. Morales, daughter of Renea Morales of Port Royal and Dale Morales of Columbus, N.C., has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

She completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Morales is a 2010 graduate of Beaufort High School.
