The Jubilee of Freedom, a 150th anniversary reading of the Emancipation Proclamation, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the University of South Carolina Beaufort.
Tickets are $20 for the general public and $15 for Beaufort County Historical Society members, seniors and students.
The event is sponsored by the historical society, CoastalStates Bank and the Mitchelville Preservation Project.
