I was heartened to see Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling quoted as wondering whether boat hotels belong in the city marina at all and stressing "... it's all about the character of the marina, the character of the downtown." Amen.

Please resist all efforts to allow any "botel" in our small marina. It takes very few decisions by very few people to destroy the ambiance, the appeal, the character of a place. To allow such an intrusion in this lovely place would be just one more step in that direction.
