Hilton Head Island Town Council seeks applicants to represent the town on the Beaufort Housing Authority Board of Commissioners.

The board's mission is "to provide affordable housing in a safe community environment and to assist those we serve as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency."

An appointment to a four-year term is available to someone with experience in the housing industry, accounting or business. Board meetings are at 5 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Beaufort Housing Authority at 1009 Prince St. in Beaufort.
