The Beaufort County Board of Education has moved its Feb. 19 meeting from the Hilton Head Island library to the Bluffton library.
Renovations planned for the Hilton Head library prompted the change, according to the school district.
The board decided earlier this month to hold half of its meetings in the southern part of the county.
Board Chairman Bill Evans said in a news release that he hoped meetings in southern Beaufort County eventually will alternate between the Hilton Head and Bluffton libraries.
The board meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Each month's first board meeting will continue to be in Beaufort County Council Chambers, and the second meeting of each month will now be held at the Bluffton library. All meetings will be televised live on the Beaufort County Channel, and past meetings will be archived on the channel's website.
