A big shout out to Casey's Sports Bar and Grille for a wonderful oyster roast on Jan. 12 to support the Hilton Head Humane Association.

Jim, Marty and Rich -- the fun, fantastic owners of Casey's -- are forces to be reckoned with when it comes to great parties that pull the community together. Along with a very cooperative Mother Nature, the event included Catch 22, Michael Anthony's, Art of Massage, Dr. Shapiro, Jimmy with Chair Fighters, Hardeeville Pet Resort, entertainment by Lowcountry Boil, and of course, our volunteers and four-legged friends from the animal shelter.

Thanks to Celebration Supplies for the surprise balloon arch that matched the mood of the attendees -- bright, happy and energized. This is the first of five oyster roasts that will be the second Saturday of every month. If you missed it, please join us next time. The menu was off the charts, but most of all it was just a really good time.
