Thank you to Bargain Box volunteers

info@islandpacket.comJanuary 22, 2013

The Bargain Box volunteers have worked tirelessly day after day for 48 years to raise money for nonprofit organizations in the community. As one of this year's grant recipients, Bluffton Self Help volunteers, board and staff would like to say thank you.

The Bargain Box volunteers contributions assist Bluffton neighbors facing poverty and hunger. We are so proud to be affiliated with this organization.

The money will be used to provide financial emergency assistance to Bluffton neighbors facing eviction or interruption in their utilities. It also will be used to support children's programs, such as medical treatment, school uniforms and school supplies.

Bluffton Self Help's mission is to provide free food and clothing to Bluffton residents, as well as financial assistance, while helping our neighbors move toward self-reliance.
