HELPING HANDS Each summer the district hosts the largest Migrant Education Program in South Carolina. It provides educational services for school-aged youngsters at St. Helena Elementary School and for older students directly at the migrant camps. Students are taught basic English, math, health and life skills. School supplies and hotel-sized toiletries are needed for the welcome packagers for older students. EVENTS The theater department will present "The Idiot's Guide to High School" by Alan Haehnel, a show to help students understand their purpose in school. The play will be performed at 7 p.m. Jan. 24-25 in the school's auditorium. Cost is $5, and the public is welcome.
