Let me thank The Island Packet, as well as the Hilton Head Island community, for all they do to promote nonprofit groups.

Hilton Head Island Safe Harbour has been very fortunate to have the backing of the community at large. We recently received a donation from the Hilton Head Island Rotary Club, Sunset, and a grant from the Hilton Head Firefighters Association.

Like so many nonprofit groups, we depend on grants, fundraising and community support. Since our inception three years ago with only four members, we have grown to help nearly 50 island residents. Organizations such as the Sunset Rotary Club and Firefighters Association make it possible for us to help Islanders, and we are thankful for their support.
