Furman University announced local students named to the dean's list for the 2012 fall semester. Furman's dean's list is composed of full-time undergraduate students who earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher on a 4-point system.
Students from Hilton Head Island on the dean's list were:
Alanna and
Alyssa Gillis, daughters of Bubba and Sandra Gillis;
Kelly Humes, daughter of Kenneth and Shelley Humes;
Abbey Myers, daughter of Kathleen and Michael Myers;
Janel Raquet, daughter of Denise and Robert Raquet; and
Mary Grace Short, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Short.
Jordin Harvey and Claire Neal, both of Bluffton, made the dean's list at North Greenville University for the fall 2012 semester. To qualify, students must maintain a 3.5 GPA while taking a minimum of 12 hours.
