Rash of air conditioner thefts hits Beaufort

Five air conditioners worth a total of $14,000 were stolen Wednesday and Thursday night from the Roseida Glen neighborhood, according to Beaufort County Sheriff's Office reports released Saturday. About $2,700 in property damage was also reported.

Authorities said they had no suspects as of Saturday, but Capt. Bob Bromage said the incidents are related. All of them happened on Alexandra Loop, he said.
