South Carolina defensive end and former Beaufort High standout Devin Taylor is among three Gamecocks who will play in Saturday's East-West Shrine Game that kicks off at 4 p.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

South Carolina linebacker DeVonte Holloman and center T.J. Johnson will also play in the game, which will be televised by the NFL Network.

Holloman is on the West team, while Johnson and Taylor will play for the East.

The trio hopes to earn invitations to the NFL Combine in February. The NFL draft is April 25-27.

Taylor tallied 45 tackles, 8 1/2 tackles for loss and three sacks for the 11-2 Gamecocks this past season.

In 2011, he had 42 tackles, 8 1/2 tackles for loss, six sacks and an interception return for a touchdown. As a sophomore in 2010, he had 46 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 7 1/2 sacks and an interception return for a touchdown.
