S.C. Savannah River Committee to propose cutting water use

The South Carolina half of the Savannah River Committee is meeting Tuesday in Atlanta to submit a proposal to Georgia Environmental Protection Division officials.

The proposal will attempt to curtail water use in both states to slow saltwater intrusion into the Upper Floridan aquifer. Dean Moss, an S.C. committee representative, says the two sides need to either come to an agreement or go to court.
