AAA Carolinas is honoring 49 hotels and restaurants in the Carolinas with its AAA Four Diamond Awards. Winners will attend a ceremony Monday at Charleston Place.

Beaufort-area winners are the Cuthbert House Inn and The Rhett House Inn.

Winners on Hilton Head Island are Main Street Inn & Spa, Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort, Hilton Head Marriott Resort & Spa, Inn at Harbour Town, Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island, and the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa and the Old Fort Pub.

"AAA's requirements for a Four Diamond rating are rigorous, and those that achieve this designation are among the finest hotels and restaurants in the world," said David E. Parsons, president and CEO of AAA Carolinas. "Only 3.4 percent of the more than 59,000 annual inspections conducted nationally result in a Four Diamond rating."
