BEAUFORT VOLLEYBALL CLUB WINS TITLE AT SAVANNAH TOURNAMENT

The Beaufort Volleyball Club's 15-and-under team went undefeated and captured the title Saturday in the Southeast Power League tournament in Savannah.

Members of the winning team are: Reagan Kilpatrick, Megan Merchant, Mari Beth Nolte, Hannah Straut, Shelby Vest, Marielle van Vulpen and Emily Wilson. The team is coached by Roger Wilson and assistant Carl Kilpatrick.

The 15-and-under team was one of four Beaufort Volleyball Club teams participating in the event.

LOW COUNTRY BLACKTIP SQUAD WINS IN ORLANDO

The Low Country Blacktip Volleyball Club's Girls 14 National team took first place in the gold division of the OVA MLK Invitational this weekend in Orlando, Fla.

The team went 7-0, only dropping two games along the way. The girls defeated St. Pete Teal in the championship match, 25-23, 22-25, 15-6.

Team members are: Katie Cameron, Alexxus Andreas-Cadman, Madison Cooler, Carly Timperman, Annie Franklin, Lexi Standen, Shadaisha Altacho, Noelle Glover and Lanitra Ferguson. The team is coached by Tina Franklin.
