The 2013 Hilton Head Island Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Weekend Celebration will start Thursday.

Highlights include: community worship service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Queen Chapel AME Church, 114 Beach City Road; Community Service Day on Saturday; the memorial program, march and cookout from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Hilton Head Island High School; screening of "The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till" at 7 p.m. Monday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 3001 Meeting St.; and the Memorial Golf Tournament on Jan. 26 at Palmetto Dunes Golf Resort.
