An abandoned 20-foot boat floating upside down in St. Helena Sound on Sunday afternoon was towed by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Beaufort Water Search and Rescue deployed three boats and the U.S. Coast Guard sent out a helicopter after the boat was spotted from land at about 2:50 p.m., said Dick Jennings, the rescue group's spokesman.

No one was found in the water near the boat, which was towed to Edisto Island.
