Firehouse Subs will open its first location in southern Beaufort County on Monday at 32 Malphrus Road in Bluffton, according to a company news release. The store also will be the first Firehouse Subs restaurant for franchisees Mick and Terri McDonough.

The restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day. It will feature a hand-painted mural of Bluffton's Church of the Cross along the May River.

Firehouse Subs was founded in Jacksonville, Fla., by former firefighting brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen.
