Stephen J. Carter is the new president of the Hilton Head Island section of the American Institute of Architects for 2013, the 100th anniversary of the AIA in South Carolina.
Carter has designed a range of projects, including corporate headquarters, libraries, medial centers, public spaces and universities. His latest project is the Benjamin Schuster Heart Hospital for the Kettering Medical Center in Cincinnati.
