Jai Barber Dowell has opened a new State Farm Insurance office in Bluffton at 80 Baylor Drive, Suite 113, in the Bluffton Commons Shopping Center near the corner of Buck Island and Fording Island roads.

The new agency, which opened Jan. 1, will celebrate its grand opening throughout the month.

Dowell has been with State Farm for more than 15 years and has worked closely with agents throughout the country including in Austin, Texas; Milwaukee; Charlottesville, Va.; and Atlanta. She has spent most of the past year, including several months training in Charleston and Bluffton, preparing to open the business.
