Meetings on Bluffton school crowding set Thursday

info@islandpacket.comJanuary 4, 2013

The community committee created by the Beaufort County Board of Education to make recommendations for dealing with growing enrollment in Bluffton schools will meet for the first time at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting at Bluffton Middle School is open to parents and the public.

The committee consists of each of the eight Bluffton school principals, two School Improvement Council members from each school, a Bluffton High School student and additional community members appointed by the board. In March, the group is expected to present solutions to crowding at Bluffton Middle and H.E. McCracken middle schools.

The Island Packet is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
