I read a recent letter regarding various gun-related massacres in schools.

It stated that 102 children had been killed and 159 had been wounded since 1979.

That's an average of three deaths a year.

A quick review showed four died in just a few days playing football in a typical week of summer practice, and statistics say 3.5 million people are injured each year playing the sport.

Maybe we're looking at banning the wrong things.
