Hope Haven of the Lowcountry, a rape crisis and children's advocacy center, is accepting applications for volunteers and interns to be trained to serve as hospital advocates for child and adult survivors of sexual assault and to answer crisis calls from the 24-hour hotline.

Training will be Jan. 21, 23, 25, 29, 31 and Feb. 2. The weekday sessions will be from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the Saturday session will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All six sessions must be attended for crisis-intervention volunteers to be fully trained. The location of the training will be announced later. Registration is required.
