Recently, the Weather Channel has removed Hilton Head Island from its weather map and replaced it with Beaufort and Bluffton.

Hilton Head is infrequently mentioned. It is lost with Ridgeland, Hardeeville, Savannah and the above two communities in the weather reporting.

Surprisingly, to my knowledge our chamber of commerce, mayor, board of Realtors and town officials have said nothing.

Why the change? New station ownership? The entire Hilton Head community should rise up against this downgrading of our beautiful, oceanfront, island destination resort.
