Lady's Island Dairy Queen robbed at gunpoint

Published: December 27, 2012

Two men carrying guns and wearing ski masks robbed the Lady's Island Dairy Queen Wednesday night.

Employees at the 115 Sea Island Parkway restaurant told Beaufort County sheriff's deputies the men came in about 8:45 p.m. and demanded money from the cash registers. They took about $300 and ran away, a report said.

No one was injured, and no customers were in the restaurant, according to Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sgt. Robin McIntosh.

The robbers were described as about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. Anyone with information can call Investigator Sgt. J. Gobel at 843-255-3421, leave an anonymous tip at 1-888-274-6372 or text the word "TIPSC" with a message to 274637.
