The Beaufort County Sheriffs Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday night at a Ladys Island restaurant.
Deputies responded to Dairy Queen at 115 Sea Island Parkway just before 9 p.m., and employees said the restaurant had been robbed by two men.
The employees reported that the men were wearing ski masks and armed with handguns; they entered the store at approximately 8:45 p.m. The employees handed over the contents of the registers upon demand, and both suspects fled, according to a Sheriff's Office news release today. No one was injure, and no customers were present.
Both suspects were described as black males, approximately 6 feet tall, 180 pounds. One was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and cargo pants; the other was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and cargo pants.
