Hilton Head Preparatory School senior John Gulbin has known since fifth grade he wanted to be a doctor. So, hes taken steps to get there, including becoming a certified EMT in 10th grade through a school program in Connecticut. Gulbin has been on hundreds of calls, even serving as a primary caregiver at the scene of an accident as a 16-year-old. When he turns 18 in a few months, he plans to become a South Carolina EMT, too.
