The Coastal Discovery Museum will host its annual docent and volunteer training program starting Jan. 23. New volunteers are encouraged to attend all sessions to learn about the Lowcountry's natural history and cultural heritage. The Coastal Discovery Museum has about 140 volunteers.
The museum is seeking volunteers to lead history and natural history walks/talks; assist with school field trip experiences; work at the gift store/front desk; and care for the Heritage and Butterfly gardens.
The sessions will be on six consecutive weeks -- from 2 to 3:30 p.m. -- each Wednesday.
Registration required.
