Bluffton Elks, Lodge 2773, hosted a Christmas party for the residents of Victory House in Walterboro. Gifts were given to each veteran, and a special holiday cake was shared by all.
Victory House is home to many elderly or disabled veterans. It is under the auspices of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. The facility is one of the most modern of its kind in the U.S.
The Elks would like to thank the many businesses and gift sponsors, including: Uniform Work and Sport in Bluffton, Target, Walmart in Hardeeville, Publix in Hardeeville, Alan and Linda Kwiatkowski, Dawn and Kurt Eigenmann, Norma Pilnacek, and all of Santa's helpers from the Lodge, including, Bob Peterson, George and Elaine Mitchell and Tiger Fulkert. A special thanks to E.R. Paul Ford, who spearheaded this event.
The smiles on the faces of all the veterans was more than enough thanks for all.
Art Ranta, chairman Veterans Committee Lodge 2773 Bluffton
