AARP offers driver safety courses

Two AARP Driver Safety Program Courses have been scheduled for January in Beaufort County:

  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Sea Pines Community Center. To register, call Hayden Leon at 843-671-2594.

  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 25 at Summit Place of Beaufort, 1119 Pickpocket Plantation Drive. To register, call Harry Ammon at 843-521-1941.

    • Most insurance companies give a discount for attendance, as required by South Carolina law. This applies to any South Carolina resident ages 26 and older.

    A $14 fee is charged for course materials; $12 for AARP members. AARP membership is not required.
