WASHINGTON John Boehner, speaker of the House of Representatives, called on President Barak Obama to act to avert fiscal cliff Friday.
Boehner made his comments at a press conference this morning, following the failure of the his "Plan B" to be brought to a vote in the House last night. U.S. market tumbled this morning on that news.
Ten days remain for Congress and the White House to reach a compromise on raising taxes and cutting the deficit if the fiscal cliff is to be avoided.
