Four Ridgeland men were arrested Friday morning on weapons- and alcohol-related charges.

Ridgeland Police stopped a vehicle at about 3 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Logan streets because the headlights weren't on, according to a police department news release. The vehicle was searched and three guns were found after an officer saw a passenger attempting to hide a handgun, the release said.

That handgun was taken from the passenger, a second was found in the vehicle and a third was taken from another occupant's waistband, the release said. The serial number on one of the guns was filed off, police said.

Jasper County court records show driver Robert Anquan Ervin, 22, was charged with possession of a stolen handgun, unlawfully carrying a handgun and driving without headlights.

Ricardo Lydell Jackson, 23, was charged with two counts of possession of a stolen handgun, unlawful carrying of a firearm and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

Jaquade Shamarrow Outten, 18, was charged with possession of a stolen handgun, unlawfully carrying a pistol, underage possession of alcohol and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

A 21-year-old passenger was charged with having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Ervin and Jackson remained in Jasper County Dentention Center as of Saturday night with bails set at $35,000 and $55,000, respectively, according to court records. Outten and the 21 year old were released on personal recognizance.
