Bluffton Self Help helps family recover from job loss

Published: December 13, 2012

A couple and their two children moved to the Bluffton area after the father got a job transfer. However, three months later, he was laid off.

No severance package was offered, and he immediately started searching for another job. His wife got a part-time job in the evenings.

He soon found work, but it would be three weeks before he got his first paycheck.

The family came to Bluffton Self Help, which helped pay their rent.

Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
