Cat adoption center opening Saturday

info@islandpacket.comDecember 12, 2012

Beaufort County Animal Shelter's Tabby House adoption center will open from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at its new Beaufort location.

Money for the new center was provided by an anonymous donor. The store will be staffed by volunteers. County officials say no public money will be used to support the space, which they hope will raise awareness about the shelter's activities and boost adoptions.

Tabby House is located 2127 Boundary St. in the Kmart shopping center.
