Tree dedication set at Beaufort National Cemetery

Purple Heart recipients and the public are invited to a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Beaufort National Cemetery.

The Col. Jimmy Leach Memorial Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart will honor recipients interred in the cemetery with a dedication of purple crape myrtle trees provided by Marion Leach in memory of her husband, according to a news release. A Christmas luncheon at the Traditions Club at Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot follows at 11:30 a.m.
